One of the most common questions I get is “What’s the best way to style my curls at home?” The truth is—there’s more than one right answer! Here are two simple wash day routines you can try, depending on the time you have and the look you want.
Option 1: Defined + Long-Lasting Curls

Best for: Waves/curls that hold for a few days with more definition
Products: Innersense I Create Volume (gel) + I Create Definition (foam)
Quick How-To:
Section hair into at least six equal sections and apply gel generously to very wet hair in each section. Comb through for even coverage.
Keep hair wet (splash in water if needed), then comb/style in the direction you want your curls to lay.
Apply 3–4 pumps of foam with “praying hands” over your clumps.
Gently pat/scrunch, then remove excess water with a microfiber towel or cotton tee. Air dry or diffuse.
Option 2: Quick + Soft Curls

Best for: A softer, more natural look on busy days
Product: Innersense Quiet Calm Curl Control
Quick How-To:
Section hair into four sections and apply product to very wet hair in each section. Comb through for even coverage.

Pro Tip: No matter which option you choose, your hair should be very wet when applying products. Think “squishy-sounding” wet. That’s how you’ll get the best clumps and definition!
At your appointment, I’ll walk you through a detailed styling routine and show you exactly which products work best for your hair. In the meantime, feel free to email me with any questions—I’m happy to help!
