FALL IS IN THE AIR
Reset
September always feels a little like a RESET around here.
The kids are back to school, summer is winding down, and suddenly there’s a little more structure to our days.
And I’m not going to lie… I’m kind of ready for that structure. Sorry about the meme... I couldn't help myself.
BACK TO SCHOOL CURLS
Trends
I’ve had a little trend happening in the salon lately that I absolutely LOVE.
Moms are bringing their teenage daughters in for a back-to-school haircut and a little curl education.
Because sometimes Mom knows how to take care of her hair… but has NO IDEA what to do with her daughter’s curls.
And I get it!
This family was struggling with tangles and matting.
We figured out WHY it was happening and I gave them simple tips for properly caring for and detangling her long, beautiful hair.
These appointments have been some of my favorites because we’re not just cutting their hair.
I’m teaching them how to care for and style their own curls—and Mom gets to stop guessing.
They both leave HAPPY, which is pretty much the best possible outcome.
FAVORITE THINGS
For Fall
This weekend we’re heading to the Poconos- actually Stroudsburg to be exact. It's time for the Irish Festival, which is one of those things that makes me feel like fall is officially here.
And Sunday is Eagles game day!
We usually host, and everyone brings something for a big, very casual potluck-style spread.
Good food, football, family and friends… pretty much my idea of a perfect fall Sunday. Having Matthew and Megan home would make it 100%.v

A LITTLE PERSONAL RESET
Not that anyone asked
The CHANGE OF SEASONS can be a tricky time of year for me.
Once the days start getting shorter, I know I need to be proactive about taking care of myself instead of waiting until I’m already feeling blah.
So this year, I’m trying something different. I'm leaning into some good practices before I lose too much sunlight and want to crawl into a hole.
I’ve been following a woman named Steffani LeFevour on Instagram.
If you’re into the woo-woo side of things, you might really like her.
I find her inspiring, and she’s helping me feel more intentional and take my power back.And if the woo-woo stuff isn't your thing… totally fine. She may not be your cup of tea!
But I thought I’d share because sometimes you find something at exactly the right time.
Here’s to a NEW SEASON, new routines, and finding little things that make us feel good. XO
