Let's make diffusing less confusing

If you’ve ever felt totally lost when it comes to diffusing your curls, you’re not alone. I hear this from clients all the time!
Diffusing can feel confusing at first, but with a few small tweaks, it can completely change your curl results.
Here are some diffuser tips to keep in mind on your next wash day:
1) Try hover diffusing
For maximum definition, try hover diffusing. This means hovering the diffuser around your curls without touching them while they dry. Less movement = less frizz and more defined curls.
2) Diffuse upright before flipping upside down
Before flipping upside down, diffuse your curls upright for a few minutes first. This helps prevent those “wonky” or misshapen curls that can happen when you flip too soon.
3) Make sure your hair is 100% dry
For the longest-lasting set and most volume, make sure your hair is 100% dry before you stop diffusing. Any leftover moisture can cause curls to fall flat faster.
4) Experiment with timing
Try switching up when you start diffusing! One wash day, diffuse on very wet hair. The next, diffuse after plopping in a T-shirt for 10 minutes. Notice a difference? Stick with what you love!
