Dealing With Dry Scalp? Here Are 3 Things That Help

Cold winter weather and dry indoor air can be tough on your scalp, even if the rest of your hair feels fine.
If you’re noticing tightness, itchiness, or flakes popping up this season, here are some simple tips that can help calm and rebalance your scalp.
1) Prioritize Scalp Moisture
Incorporate a dedicated scalp oil into your routine, like the Innersense Hair Renew Scalp Oil, to help soothe dryness and support a healthier scalp. Section hair (wet or dry) and apply 4–6 drops directly to the scalp, then gently massage it in. This oil can be used daily and doesn't need to be washed out.

2) Switch to a Gentle Cleanser
Use a mild, sulfate-free shampoo formulated for dry or sensitive scalps like Innersense's Clarity Hairbath. Strong detergents can strip away your scalp’s natural oils, making dryness worse. Try to limit shampooing to a few times per week to avoid over-cleansing.
3) Turn Down the Heat
Very hot water and frequent heat styling can contribute to scalp dryness. Wash with lukewarm water whenever possible, and minimize the use of hot tools like blow dryers or flat irons. When heat is necessary, always use a heat protectant like Innersense's Hair Love Prep Spray, and keep tools on lower temperature settings.
Pro-Tip
If you're looking to show your scalp some extra love, use Innersense True Enlightenment Scalp Scrub before shampooing to exfoliate and refresh. Massage onto wet, sectioned hair, rinse thoroughly, then cleanse and condition as usual.
