If your hair has been looking a little dull, flat, or your curls aren’t popping the way you want them to...you might just need to make a few simple tweaks to your routine.
Here are three things to try:
1) If your hair looks dull and lacks shine...
You may have buildup on your hair from products, minerals in your water, or oils.
Try using a clarifying shampoo to reset your hair and remove that buildup. This can help restore shine and allow your styling products to work better.
2) If your curls are there but not very defined...
You may simply need more water when applying your styling products.
Water helps distribute the product evenly and encourages curls to clump together, which creates better definition.
3) If you've tried both of those and your hair still looks dull...
Your hair might need more moisture.
Try swapping your regular conditioner for a hydrating hair mask for a few washes.
And don’t forget: Squish to Condish!
Apply the mask according to the directions and gently scrunch it into your hair with water to help it fully absorb. Continue using the mask until your hair feels softer, less dry, and you start to see that shine come back.
Hair can be a little picky sometimes, but a few small tweaks can make a big difference. If you try these and still feel like your hair isn’t cooperating, I’m always happy to help troubleshoot your routine!
